Virat Kohli scripts history, becomes first player to achieve this incredible feat in IPL

Virat Kohli, on Saturday (May 18), added yet another feather to his illustrious cap, achieving the feat in the ongoing game between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

He became the first-ever player to reach 3000 runs in the IPL at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Virat Kohli completed 3000 runs at the venue after reaching 12 runs, achieving the huge milestone in style by hitting Tushar Deshpande for a six.

He has become the first player to score 3000 runs at a single venue in the IPL. No player has even managed to touch the 2500-run mark at a venue in the IPL so far.

Rohit Sharma is second on the list with 2295 runs. Apart from Virat Kohli, Rohit is the only other batsman to score 2000 runs at a venue in the IPL. Rohit has scored 2295 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Former RCB batsman AB de Villiers is third on the list for scoring 1960 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In 13 games before the ongoing match, he scored 661 runs with the help of one century and five half-centuries.
