‘…uska rath aaj bhi Shri Krishna chalate hai’: KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir’s post goes viral after IPL 2024 triumph | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Gautam Gambhir has been lauded across the Indian cricket spectrum for being one of the biggest factors behind Kolkata Knight Riders’ triumph in the Indian Premier League 2024 as Shreyas Iyer‘s men lifted the coveted title on Sunday.
Since his return to KKR as a mentor, Gambhir has transformed the franchise’s approach, making game-changing decisions that were pivotal in securing their third IPL title.

Gambhir’s influence on KKR’s success has been profound. His strategic mindset and infectious energy turned the team’s fortunes around, culminating in a dominant performance throughout the season. After a decade-long wait, KKR lifted the IPL trophy, and Gambhir’s inspirational leadership played a crucial role in this achievement.

Following the victory, Gambhir shared an inspirational post on social media that quickly went viral.
Taking to X, the KKR mentor wrote, “Whose thoughts and actions are of truth. Even today Lord Krishna drives his chariot.”

This post resonated with fans and players alike, highlighting the philosophical and determined approach Gambhir brought to the team.
Having previously captained KKR to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014, Gambhir returned as a mentor with the mission to end their decade-long trophy drought. On Sunday, he fulfilled this promise, guiding KKR to their third IPL title, 12 years after their first championship win in 2012.
Speaking to the broadcaster after the match, KKR vice-captain Nitish Rana shared a personal anecdote that underscored Gambhir’s influence. “I want to share one short story that when GG bhaiya was named the mentor, I sent him a long message as I was really happy. But he replied saying, ‘Thank you but I would be happy if we stand at the podium with the trophy in our hands.’ Today is that day and I will never forget that message,” revealed Rana.
