Shubman Gill’s triple thumb fracture rules him out of….

Shubman Gill’s hand injury is becoming the biggest headache for the Indian cricket team ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia, starting with the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth from Friday, November 22.

The young Indian batter suffered a fractured thumb after attempting a low catch in the slips during the second day of the team’s simulated training game at the WACA. However, the BCCI has not released an official update on Gill’s injury, but it is believed that the injury is not very serious.

This unfortunate injury has already ruled Shubman Gill out of the high-octane five-match Test series opener between Australia and India in Perth, but there are still not good chances of him recovering in time for the second Test in Adelaide, which is a day-night affair scheduled to start on December 6.

Media reports claimed that a scan confirmed the thumb fracture, revealing the extent of Gill’s injury. A BCCI source revealed that the right-handed batter will need at least two to three weeks to recover, ruling him out of the first Test and probably the second Test against Australia as well.

However, there is optimism about Shubman Gill’s return for the second Test, as there is a significant gap between the two matches of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia.

However, the latest update on Gill’s injury doesn’t sound well at all. Rohit Juglan, a RevSportz reporter who is currently in Perth, made some sensational revelations about Gill’s injury. He revealed that Shubman Gill finds himself battling a unique injury for which no immediate treatment exists to fix it.

His thumb, fractured in three places, can only heal naturally with time with some medication and bandaging, according to the reporter. The Punjab lad has a reputation for delivering heroic performances even with injuries.

In fact, Gill smashed his century in England while battling a broken finger. So, if the Indian cricket team dearly needs his services, then Gill can turn up with a broken thumb against Australia.

There is no treatment for Gill’s fractured thumb!

Rohit Juglan said in a viral video: “Shubman Gill has been injured in such a way that there is no treatment for it. It will heal on its own. The thumb is cracked from three places. You can’t do anything about it. You have to wrap it up and give it medication. But it will heal on its own. Sourced told me that Shubman has a habit that he plays with broken fingers. He has made 100. He got 100 in England. It came with a broken finger.

So, if it is a matter of such things, and if his playing is so important, which is very important, then he will also play with broken fingers. Without a doubt, I don’t think there is going to be any problem. But I have been told today that it can take two and a half to three weeks. See, two and a half weeks is said when it comes to Shubman Gill’s will. No, I have to play. He will do it in two and a half weeks.”
