RCB had the most dramatic entry into the playoffs. They had to restrict CSK under 201 to win the match by an 18-run margin after scoring 218 with the bat. They managed to restrict them to 191/7 and win the match by a margin of 27 runs to confirm their playoff berth for the ninth time in IPL history.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have now won six matches on the trot after winning just two out of their first 8 games. They have to win three more matches straight to lift the IPL title for the very first time. Earlier this year, RCB women’s team won the WPL title.

The two teams met once previously this season with the Royals winning the match by six wickets back then. However, heading into this game the tables have turned. RCB looks to have all the momentum with six back-to-back wins while Rajasthan Royals have lost their last four games with their final league game getting abandoned due to rain. RR lacks momentum heading into the eliminator on Tuesday.
