India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, dropped a bombshell comment. She praised former Australian cricketer Aaron Finch for going against Sunil Gavaskar’s comment on India’s captain missing the Perth Test due to family obligations.

Rohit Sharma has been in the news for the last few weeks due to a question mark over his availability for the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. There have been several reports that claimed that the batter will be missing either of the first two games as he and his wife are expecting their second child.

Sunil Gavaskar wasn’t happy with Rohit Sharma missing the first Test

Reacting to the reports, Sunil Gavaskar wasn’t happy with Rohit missing the first Test. The batting great said that if the India National Cricket Team skipper misses the first game of the series, then he shouldn’t be captaining the team for the series and should be taking care of his reasons.

Sunil Gavaskar also mentioned that taking the break would have been fine had India won the series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. He batted for vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah to lead the team in the entire series and said that if Rohit has to join back team then he should be there as a player only.

Aaron Finch wasn’t on the same page with Sunil Gavaskar

Reacting to this, Aaron Finch wasn’t on the same page with Sunil Gavaskar. He mentioned that he didn’t agree with batting great, as having a child is a beautiful moment, and every player deserves all the time in the world in this regard. He said on a podcast:

“I disagree with Sunny on that. Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Indian cricket team. If you need to stay at home because your wife’s going to have a baby, that’s such a beautiful moment, and you take all the time that you need in that regard.”

The comments of Sunil Gavaskar and Aaron Finch were posted on social media by a user, and the wife of Rohit didn’t hesitate to comment on that. She posted a salute emoji and tagged the former Australia skipper for his reply to Gavaskar.

On Friday (8th November), there were reports emerged that Rohit Sharma is likely to be available for the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The reports claimed that he would be traveling with the team on the 11th or 12th of November and would be training with the team.

The Australia tour will be a great opportunity for Rohit Sharma to stage a comeback and prove his prowess to the world. He would be keen to make an impact both with bat as well as with his leadership in the five-match Test series.

He came under scanner during the home Test season as well. The opening batter failed with the bat in the entire season as he amassed just 133 runs, and also under his leadership, the India National Cricket Team faced the whitewash against the New Zealand National Cricket Team.
