NEW DELHI: Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid was left visibly stunned when a young girl nearly bowled him out during a casual cricket session, showcasing her skill and precision, at the Girls Cup organised by Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
The unexpected moment caught him by surprise, but Dravid quickly recovered, breaking into an appreciative smile. In true Dravid style, he acknowledged her talent with a heartwarming gesture, praising her bowling.
“Hey maa and paa, I just won the Girls Cup, bowled to Rahul Dravid and he took a moment to pause and clap for me too!” Rajasthan Royals captioned the video on social media platform X.
Royals’ head coach is currently busy crafting the franchise’s auction strategy for the upcoming mega auction set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.
Dravid was spotted spending time at the crease, facing deliveries from several young girls who bowled to him enthusiastically at the event.
A few of the girls managed to impress Dravid, beating him with the pink ball on several occasions. The former Team India coach was visibly delighted, offering words of praise for their skills.
Later, Dravid joined the young cricketers for a memorable photo session at the presentation ceremony, capturing a heartwarming moment.
