The pacer managed to pick the wickets of Max O’Dawd via LBW and bowled both Wesley Barresi and Bas de Leede.

Australia will remain positive as Starc only returned for the ODI side since the side last toured India in March 2023. He was primarily focused on the T20s where he won the T20 World Cup, 2021 held in the UAE and the Ashes 2023 where he finished as the highest wicket-taker in the series with 23 wickets.

The importance of Starc cannot be underestimated as the bowler seems to turn up during the big ICC events. He finished as the highest wicket-taker in the last two editions of the ODI World Cup in 2019 and 2015.
