Ishan Kishan’s drastic life after ODI Double 100 comes to light; report reveals his routine after BCCI Contract snub

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s recruit Ishan Kishan shone in his first match for the franchise and scored a magnificent hundred against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad. It was a stunning knock from the top-order batter as he displayed his devastating batting skills.

However, the journey wasn’t simple for him. Ishan Kishan had to go through several difficulties after a disappointing IPL 2024 for Mumbai Indians and was then removed from BCCI’s national central contracts list as well.

But the wicketkeeper-batter didn’t lose hope and kept on working hard. A report revealed that Kishan was determined to perform well in IPL 2025 and worked extremely hard on all aspects to regain form.

Ishan Kishan speaks on his whirlwind hundred

Ishan Kishan went back to his roots rather than trying to do anything different. After the knock, he revealed that his preparation was good coming into the tournament which helped him a lot.

“I had a lot of time, I was practicing a lot, and worked hard on my batting. The preparation was good,” Kishan mentioned.

Kishan smacked 106 off just 47 balls against Rajasthan Royals as he took SRH to a comfortable win in Hyderabad. It was a devastating knock from the batter as he struck 11 fours and 6 sixes during his knock.

Kishan has been out of the national selection for a long time now. After being removed from the BCCI’s central contracts list, he hasn’t been considered for any format as he didn’t have any performances to show. But some consistent performances in the ongoing IPL could help his way to get back into the reckoning.

Ishan Kishan’s secret of regaining form

Rather than training at MI’s high-class academies, Kishan trained at his own academy which he has set up in Patna. Training at just one place allowed him to stay focused on his goal and it showed during the game against RR.

A source close to the development opened up on Kishan’s daily routine which involved intense net sessions and hard fitness sessions as well. The wicketkeeper-batter also worked hard on his mental game.

“He trained in two sessions every day. The morning session focused on cricket skills at his academy, lasting 2-3 hours and being very intense. In the evening, he would either do gym workouts or speed training for 1-2 hours,” the source was quoted as saying by PTI.

“Apart from this, he worked extensively on his mental game by analyzing his own videos. He chose to train at his own academy in Patna, never traveling elsewhere, which allowed him to stay focused and put in consistent, dedicated work in his own environment,” he added.

Ishan Kishan’s unbelievable records

Despite having played just 27 ODIs so far, Kishan already has a double hundred to his name. He is the first-ever player to convert his maiden ODI hundred into a double-century.

He scored a breathtaking 210 off just 131 balls against Bangladesh at Chattogram with 24 fours and 10 sixes. It is also the fastest ODI double-hundred ever in the history of the game.
