Grade 2 Winner Non Compliant Suffers Fatal Breakdown

Grade 2-winning filly Non Compliant  suffered a catastrophic breakdown during training April 17 at Los Alamitos Race Course, according to California Horse Racing Board records.

From the initial crop of classic winner Tiz the Law  , Non Compliant won both of her juvenile starts in 2024, including a 2 1/4-length victory in the Oak Leaf Stakes (G2) Oct. 5 at Santa Anita Park to close out her season.

Campaigned by Georgia Antley Hunt, Jeff Giglio, and John Rogitz, Non Compliant was training toward her 3-year-old debut for trainer Bob Baffert. Rogitz purchased Non Compliant for $150,000 at the 2024 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale from the consignment of Navas Equine.

Bred in Kentucky by Ashview Farm and Old Oak Farm, Non Compliant is out of the winning, grade 3-placed Street Sense   mare Sensitively, who has produced two winners from three starters.

The equine fatality was initially reported by Paulick Report.
