Jasprit Bumrah Is The Best Bowler At The Moment – Karun Nair

In the post-match press conference, Karun Nair shared his approach to handling Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling during his knock.

He said that his focus was on selecting the right balls to hit, adding that he played to his strengths. Nair said that Bumrah is the best bowler in the world right now.

“It was about picking the right balls and playing to the areas that I wanted to play. He is the best bowler at the moment in world cricket.

So, I had to be very watchful of where he was going to bowl. But again, I just backed myself and backed the areas that I wanted to score,” said Karun.

Nair played his first IPL match since 2022. He returned to action after an impressive domestic season, where he scored 779 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Nair’s knock reignited discussions about his potential return to the Indian team, with Ambati Rayudu supporting his case for the England Test tour.
