While the women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand kept its spot in Top 10, singles stars such as P. V. Sindhu and Lakshya Sen slipped further in the latest BWF Rankings released on Monday.
Treesa and Gayatri, who missed last week’s Badminton Asia Championships in Ningbo, China, lost one spot and dropped to 10th. Olympians Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa duo stayed at 22nd.
In women’s singles, two-time Olympic medallist and former World champion Sindhu fell from 17th to 18th place after her round-of-16 exit in China. Malvika Bansod (22nd), Rakshitha Sree (42nd), Anupama Upadhyaya (44th) and Aakarshi Kashyap (49th) are the other Indians in Top 50.
In men’s singles, Lakshya, who finished fourth at Paris Olympics, dropped from 16th to 18th spot after his defeat in the first round. H. S. Prannoy, who also lost his tournament opener, moved down from 29th to 30th.

Kiran George (35th) and Priyanshu Rajawat (36th) gained one and two places, respectively.
Like Treesa-Gayatri, the men’s doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also did not participate in China. The pair is ranked 11th after losing one spot.
The mixed doubles pair of Tanisha and Dhruv Kapila, the only Indians who reached the quarterfinals in China, gained one spot and moved to 17th.
