Abhishek Sharma declared greater than Yuvraj Singh by Ex-Pakistan star

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team player Tanvir Ahmed made a massive statement after the fifth T20I between India and England. He called Indian opening batter Abhishek Sharma a bigger talent than his mentor Yuvraj Singh.

Tanvir Ahmed’s comments came after India National Cricket Team batter Abhishek played a brutal knock in the fifth T20I against the England National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams took place on Sunday (2nd February) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Abhishek Sharma registers second fastest fifty for the India National Cricket Team in the T20Is

Abhishek came up with a gigantic effort with the bat as he played his best innings in the T20I and helped the India National Cricket Team win the match. Opening the batting, the left-hander was all over the bowlers as he slammed them all over the park.

Abhishek, who calls Yuvraj Singh his mentor, gave England bowlers a similar treatment that the former India National Cricket Team player used to do. The left-hander slammed a magnificent half-century and brought up the milestone in just 17 balls.

This was the second fastest fifty for the India National Cricket Team in the T20Is, with the fastest belonging to Yuvraj Singh, who hit a half-century in just 12 balls against England in 2007. After hitting a half-century, Abhishek didn’t look back as he got even more aggressive and created problems for bowlers.

Within the blink of an eye, Abhishek reached his century and made everyone stand and applaud him for his heroics. The India National Cricket Team batter got to his second T20I ton in just 37 balls and slammed the second-fastest century for his team in the shortest format of the game.

He is behind Rohit Sharma in the elite list. The India National Cricket Team Test and ODI skipper slammed the fastest ton in 35 balls. Abhishek played a brutal innings of 135 runs off 54 balls and registered the highest individual score for India in T20Is, surpassing Shubham Gill.

During his innings, he batted with a strike rate of 250 and slammed 7 fours and 13 sixes in his innings. Not only this, Abhishek also contributed with the ball and picked two wickets as he returned with the figures of 2/3 to help the team win the game by 150 runs.

With Abhishek setting the stage on fire, former Pakistan player Tanvir Ahmed hailed India all-rounder a bigger talent than Yuvraj Singh. Taking to his Twitter account, he said: “Abhishek Sharma Yuvraj Singh say bara talent ha.” (Abhishek Sharma is a bigger talent than Yuvraj Singh).”

Tanvir Ahmed later clarified that he was talking about talent and not performances. He said: “Doston m talking about talent not performance hud ha.” (Friends, I’m talking about talent and not performances).
