Tempers flared between Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best during the International Masters League (IML) 2025 final between India Masters and West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Sunday (March 16).
The heated moment unfolded when the former West Indies pacer Tino Best tried to leave the field, possibly due to an injury, after completing his third over. However, the former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was not happy with the timing of Tino’s exit, especially after Ambati Rayudu had smashed two boundaries in that over in the title clash.

Frustrated, Yuvraj Singh took the matter to the on-field umpire, Billy Bowden, and he seemingly asked Best to return. This did not sit well with the fiery Best, as the visibly annoyed West Indian came back to the field and confronted Yuvraj Singh, and tensions escalated quickly on the field.

Best charged towards Yuvraj, getting right in his face, and the two got into a tense face-off. The duo exchanged a fiery exchange with neither backing down. As things escalated, West Indies Masters captain Brian Lara had to step in to separate them. Even Ambati Rayudu was seen trying to calm Best down, preventing the situation from spiraling further.
After the heated exchange, Yuvraj let his bat do the talking. Facing Best’s delivery, the legendary Indian all-rounder smashed a massive six, bringing back memories of his iconic six sixes against Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup after a fiery moment with Andrew Flintoff.

Meanwhile, India Masters put on a dominant performance to defeat West Indies Masters by six wickets in the final of the International Masters League and lift the trophy. Sachin Tendulkar rolled back the years with a brilliant knock, treating the crowd to some classic strokes, including a stunning uppercut for six off Jerome Taylor.
