The Englishman jumped up perfectly, and caught the ball with both hands in the air, but as he was falling, he couldn’t hold on and smartly pushed the ball back inside the field before touching the ground. The third umpire was called to check if Salt’s body or hands touched the boundary rope while handling the ball.

After carefully looking at the replay, the third umpire confirmed that no part of Salt’s body touched the rope. And that’s how Yashasvi could get only a single, thanks to Salt’s mind-blowing efforts that saved five runs for RCB in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash.

It was a short ball from Krunal Pandya, and Jaiswal tried to slog it but didn’t time it well because the ball came on quicker than he expected. Phil Salt judged it brilliantly and made a perfect two-handed jump to save five crucial runs for his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
