Indian cricket team are slated to depart separately to different cities following their Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai on Sunday. This rules out the possibility of an open-top bus parade, something that had been held after the T20 World Cup title last year.
With the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting on March 22, the players are expected to take a short break at their respective destinations before joining their respective franchises.

Even though India vanquished their 12-year drought of winning a 50-over competition at the global stage, the lack of time between competitions has left little room for BCCI and the players to organise any elaborate celebrations. After winning the T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean, Indian cricket team had celebrated at Marine Drive and then the Wankhede Stadium.
At the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, Indian spinners called the shots under bright sunshine to pick five wickets and restrict New Zealand to 251/7.

In reply, captain Rohit Sharma top-scored with an explosive 76 off 83 balls while KL Rahul stayed clam with an unbeaten 34 as India won by four wickets to clinch the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Some IPL franchises have started their pre-season camps while others are on the verge of getting things underway for the 18th season of the T20 competition.

For example, Mumbai Indians, who have Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya in their squad, began their pre-tournament practice sessions at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have the services of Mohammed Shami, had kicked off their pre-season camp earlier in the month.
As per news agency IANS, India head coach Gautam Gambhir is expected to arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Monday evening.

The 2025 Champions Trophy title is Gambhir’s first major title as the head coach of the Indian team, after taking charge in July last year.
