Delhi Capitals will be taking on Mumbai Indians in the 29th game of the ongoing IPL 2025. The game is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (April 13).
With four wins from as many games, DC are the only unbeaten team left in the competition and are currently at the top of the points table. With form on their side, DC will look to win the upcoming game too, and maintain their unbeaten start.
On the other hand, MI are languishing at the ninth spot in the points table. The five-time champions have managed to win only one of their five games so far and will be desperate to turn things around. MI cannot afford too many slip ups from this stage and will be eyeing a crucial win against DC.

DC without Faf du Plessis:
While DC will be the favorites to win the game against MI, they will have to do it without their senior opener Faf du Plessis. DC captain Axar Patel revealed the news during tthe oss and also disclosed the reason, saying that the former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis would miss the game due to injury.
“We’ll bowl first. We’re chasing well, and it’s the first match over here this season so don’t know how the pitch will play. Don’t trust numbers from the past too much. Challenge is to follow the plan properly and to be brave even if you get hit for a six. Faf is injured,” said Axar Patel.
Meanwhile, DC have won the toss and opted to bowl first. While DC have been forced to make one change to the team combination due to Faf du Plessis’ injury, MI have been playing with the same team that played the last game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
