Rajasthan Royals will be locking horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the sixth game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). The RR vs KKR match is being played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday (March 26).
Both teams will be desperate to win this game and open their account in IPL 2025 after losing their respective first matches. Defending champions KKR began their campaign with a loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home.
KKR and RR lost their opening encounter in IPL 2025
The three-time IPL champions were off to a solid start with the bat but failed to capitalise on it and eventually posted 174/8 in the allotted 20 overs at the Eden Gardens. The score was not challenging enough on a good pitch for a formidable batting line up and RCB made light work of the chase.
Riding on half-centuries from Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, RCB crossed the finishing line inside 17 overs by losing just three wickets.

Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, suffered a 44-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium last Sunday. They found themselves at the receiving end of yet another belligerent batting display by the Hyderabad-based outfit.
SRH scored a mammoth total of 286/6 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to a century from Ishan Kishan and a fifty from Travis Head. In reply, Rajasthan Royals came up with a spirited batting effort, but the target was just too big to chase down. In the end, the Royals finished their innings on a commendable 242/6 with Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel scoring fifties.
With both teams losing their previous game, the RR vs KKR game becomes even more important. A loss in this match won’t define the season of either team, but both of them would like to win it and gain some early momentum.
