LSG delivered a commanding performance at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday, securing a thumping 28-run victory over RCB.Mayank Yadav’s searing pace left the opposition batting lineup in disarray, propelling LSG to their second consecutive win in the tournament.
The Delhi tearaway showcased his prowess by becoming the sixth bowler in IPL history to claim three-wicket hauls in two consecutive matches. Clocking an astounding speed of 156.7 kph, Yadav unleashed the fastest delivery of the ongoing season, ranking as the fourth fastest in the history of the IPL.
De Kock, the South African wicketkeeper-batter, lauded Yadav’s simplicity and effectiveness, acknowledging his pivotal role in LSG’s success. Speaking in the post-match presentation, De Kock said, “He (Mayank) is bowling rockets in our team. He is keeping it simple and doing really well for his team.”
The match commenced with RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis opting to bowl first after winning the toss. LSG posted a formidable total of 181/5 in their allotted 20 overs, with De Kock leading the charge with a blazing knock of 81 runs off 56 balls. Nicholas Pooran’s explosive unbeaten innings of 40 runs further bolstered LSG’s innings.

RCB’s bowling effort was spearheaded by Glenn Maxwell, who claimed two crucial wickets, supported by Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Reece Topley, who each chipped in with a wicket.
In pursuit of 182 runs, RCB faltered as they were bowled out for 153 runs in 19.4 overs, falling short by 28 runs. Mahipal Lomror emerged as the highest scorer for RCB with a brisk 33 runs off 19 balls.
