India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli was involved in high-intensity training ahead of the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the batter was honing his skills against the left-arm spinners.
India are all set to take on New Zealand National Cricket Team in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The summit clash of the tournament will be taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (9th March).
Virat Kohli trains against a left-arm thrower
India have been putting in the hard yards for the final match and is making sure that they give their everything to tick all their boxes. On Friday (7th March), the Rohit Sharma-led side was seen battling it hard against the spinners in the nets.
Virat Kohli, in particular, looked in good touch. The premier batter was seen batting against a left-arm thrower. He was attempting to steer and dab the ball, looking to come forward and trying to pick the length early. Apart from this, he, along with the other batters, faced spinners as well.
The top and middle order batters were focused on facing spinners, looking to prepare themselves against the spin attack of New Zealand in Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra. The quartet looked threatening against South Africa in the semi-final 2 of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Even in their game against India, New Zealand National Cricket Team spinners looked threatening. They troubled the India National Cricket Team batter batters a lot and would be hoping to do the same in the final as well. Also, they have all the bases covered for the Dubai conditions.
Virat Kohli and other India batters face in-house and local spinners
Kohli, along with other batters, faced the in-house spin quartet of Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja before taking on an ensemble of local spinners.
The spin no doubt will play a massive role in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, especially with the match set to be played on the same pitch in which India vs Pakistan was played.
