Vaibhav Arora, on Wednesday (March 26), gave Kolkata Knight Riders a flying start with the ball in their ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The right-arm pacer castled Sanju Samson with an absolute beauty in the very third over of the game. KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bowl first. Spencer Johnson opened the bowling for the defending champions and conceded nine runs.

Vaibhav Arora then bowled the second over and did a good job, conceding only five runs. In the third over, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit Spencer Johnson for a six and a four to collect 12 runs.
The onus was on Vaibhav Arora to bowl another tidy over to keep the scoring rate under check. However, the KKR pacer did not start on a good note as Sanju Samson hit him for a four on the very first ball. The following delivery was wide.

However, three balls and two runs later, Vaibhav had the last laugh. In an attempt to play another big shot, Sanju Samson decided to dance down the track and paid a hefty price for it.

The Royals star stepped down the track even before the ball was bowled and was in no place to save himself. Vaibhav Arora bowled a full and angled delivery, and Samson completely failed to make any contact with the ball. The ball went on to uproot the leg-stump. Samson departed after scoring 13 runs off 11 balls with the help of two fours.

Talking about the game, the Royals were on 54/1 after the end of the sixth over at the time of writing this report. After Samson’s departure, Riyan Parag has joined Yashasvi Jaiswal in the middle.
Both the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders will be desperate to win the ongoing game and open their account in IPL 2025 after losing their first games. The Knight Riders suffered a 7-wicket loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, while the Royals went down against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
