The match between the two teams took place at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (23rd February).
When the pressure was high, Virat Kohli yet again stood tall for his team and marked a wonderful return to form. The premier India National Cricket Team batter hit a sensational century as the India National Cricket Team won their second consecutive game in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Virat Kohli, who walked out to bat after Rohit Sharma got out, looked in good touch right from the start. The right-hander played the pacers along with the spinners perfectly and crafted his innings beautifully, almost taking the game away from the Pakistan National Cricket Team.
Virat Kohli first slammed a solid half-century, and with that, he became the player with the joint most fifty-plus scores in the history of the ICC ODI events. This was also his 8th fifty-plus score against the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the ICC events in 16 innings.
During the course of his innings, Virat Kohli also became the quickest to 14000 runs in the ODIs. He achieved the feat in 287 innings. He broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar, who had taken 350 innings to reach the feat, and Kumar Sangakkara, who took 378 outings, to the milestone in ODI cricket.
After hitting a half-century, Virat Kohli set his eyes on the ton and didn’t take much time to his century. The batter slammed his ton on the last ball of the match. With 4 runs needed for his hundred and 3 for India to win, the batter hit a glorious four to reach to milestone.

Apart from Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer was the player, who was in runs. The batter played a magnificent innings of 56 runs while Shubman Gill (46) and Rohit Sharma (20) also contributed as India National Cricket Team completed a magnificent win over 7 overs to spare.
