Australia National Cricket Team batter Travis Head didn’t have a great outing in the ongoing game against England National Cricket Team. The fourth game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between the teams is taking place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Australia National Cricket Team were made to work hard with the ball as England National Cricket Team batters had a terrific outing with the bat. Ben Duckett, in particular, gave a hard time to Steve Smith-led side as he played a stupendous innings of 165 runs.
England National Cricket Team batters not only put the Australia National Cricket Team under pressure but also made them tired on the field by making them run to stop the boundaries. This was quite evident with the reaction that Travis Head came up with at the end of the first innings.
When both the teams were going back to the pavilion, Travis Head came up with a hilarious reaction. The Australia National Cricket Team batter was seen yawning, reminding fans of the infamous act of former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed during the World Cup 2019 game against India.

Travis Head didn’t have a great outing with the bat
In the absence of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, no pacer could step up for the Australia National Cricket Team. They were taken for a lot of runs as England National Cricket Team posted a massive total of 351 runs, which is the highest total in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Travis Head then didn’t have a great outing with the bat. The opening batter was back in the hut for just 6 runs as Jofra Archer removed him in the 4th over. He ended up giving a simple catch back to the bowler as Australia National Cricket Team lost their first wicket for just 21 runs.
We have to still perform with the ball but very happy at the halfway – Joe Root
Joe Root, who hit a half-century, scoring 68 runs, talked about the innings, saying that they gave themselves a good opportunity to score big runs. But was quick to admit that they need to bowl well to defend the target.
Root also credited Ben Duckett for his magnificent innings, adding that the key for them is to be aggressive in the powerplay and try to make things difficult for the opposition. Speaking to broadcasters, he said:
“It was a good, nice partnership. It was quite a slow wicket, kept low. The way we were scoring, we were giving ourselves a good opportunity to go on and get a good score on that surface. It feels like that’s the case. We have to still perform with the ball but very happy at the halfway. (On Duckett’s innings) Very good. The way he paced it, the way he played throughout, going through different gears, it was excellent. Difficult to bowl to.
“Hopefully we can capitalize on that. (Key to bowling here) Keeping the stumps in play, nice and straight and small variations seem to make it a little bit tricky. The key for us is to be aggressive in the powerplay and as soon as the ball stops swinging, try and make it difficult for them to get the timing and use the middle of the wicket. (On his bowling) Definitely been working hard, hopefully I get an opportunity today.”
