All these cricketers, incidentally, participated in the auctions and went unsold, so they could become attractive buys in case franchises shop for replacements.

In a group-stage match against Australia, Duckett went into overdrive, scoring 165 runs off 143 balls with 17 fours and three sixes embellishing the innings. And given his current form and experience, Henry is poised to be a soughtafter player if any franchise wishes to make an addition to its squad or bring in a replacement player. It all depends, though, on the shoulder injury that didn’t allow him to play in the CT final.

His quickfire 53 off 40 balls ensured the Black Caps reached a competitive total.
