India will start their campaign in the quarterfinals of the Asian Games men’s cricket event from October 3.
The Indian men’s cricket team has left for Hangzhou (China) for their Asian Games debut. India will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad during the continental event as they look to emulate their women counterpart who won a historic gold last week when they beat Sri Lanka in the final.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) shared few pictures on X (formerly Twitter) from the team’s departure as they were given a warm send-off.
#TeamIndia have taken off from Mumbai airport, bound for Hangzhou, for their much-anticipated campaign at the #AsianGames2022,” the post read.
The team comprises rising stars including Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh among others.
