India National Cricket Team captain Suryakumar Yadav and the young left-handed batsman Tilak Varma were seen mimicking the bicep flexing celebration of Sanju Samson after the Kerala star blasted a brutal century in the fourth and final T20I against South Africa.

Sanju Samson showcased a batting masterclass at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and hit his third T20I century in the last 5 innings.

Sanju Samson decimates South Africa

The star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson started off the series against South Africa with an epic ton. However, in the next two matches, he absolutely flopped, bagging back-to-back ducks.

Sanju Samson suddenly looked clueless while facing Marco Jansen in the first over in the second as well as third T20I and he was castled by the left-arm pacer for the duck.

Sanju Samson faced severe criticism after back-to-back failures, and he made sure to shut critics down with his performance in the fourth and final T20I against the Proteas.

He looked aggressive from the start and slammed a half-century off 28 balls. The wicketkeeper-batsman wasn’t done there as he went on to hit a brilliant century off just 51 balls.

On the 5th ball of the 18th over, which was bowled by Gerald Coetzee, Samson took a single off a short-length delivery to complete a ton. As he hit the ton, Suryakumar Yadav was seen doing the bicep flexing celebration from the dugout and Samson also did the same. Meanwhile, Tilak Varma, who was at the non-striker’s end, pulled off the same celebration in delight.

India had won the previous T20I

India clinched a thrilling win in the 3rd T20I against South Africa, sealing the game by 11 runs after setting a target of 220. The victory was powered by the brilliance of Tilak Varma, who scored an unbeaten 107 off 56 balls, marking his maiden T20I century.

Varma’s brilliant knock took India to a strong total of 219/6 and he was well-supported by Abhishek Sharma, who smashed a quick 50 off 25 balls with three fours and five sixes.

In the end, the debutant Ramandeep Singh showcased his power-hitting by smashing 15 runs off 6 balls, with 1 four and 1 six.

On the bowling front, Arshdeep Singh delivered a sensational performance in the high-scoring game, picking up 3/37 in his four overs. His wickets included key dismissals like Ryan Rickelton early on and the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen towards the death. Also, Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel chipped in with a couple of timely breakthroughs.

Hardik Pandya contributed with both bat and ball and although his bowling was slightly expensive, he took a critical wicket of David Miller.
