Australia National Cricket Team batter Steve Smith has achieved a massive feat in the Tests for his team. He surpassed former skipper Ricky Ponting to become the player with the most number of catches for the Aussies in the longest format of the game.

Steve Smith achieved the feat in the ongoing second Test between the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team and the Australia National Cricket Team. The last game of the series between the teams is taking place at the Galle International Stadium in Galle, which kickstarted on 6th February.
