Steve Smith initially struggled to get going, but he made sure that he didn’t give away his wicket. The batter hung in there and it was only a matter of time for him to return to his best. Once he was in, he made sure that he made it count and replied to all his critics with his bat.

Steve Smith first played second fiddle to Travis Head, who hit a brutal century. But once the left-hander got to his ton, the stage was taken by the right-hander. He hit a flurry of boundaries to up the ante of his innings. After that, he looked extremely focused and hit a blistering ton.
This was his 33rd Test hundred and 10th against India National Cricket Team. However, he couldn’t last long after reaching the century as he was removed by Jasprit Bumrah, who took his third wicket in the innings and brought his team back.
Steve Smith ended with an innings of 101 runs off 190 balls. He also hit 12 fours in his innings. This made his first century in 25 innings and it surely would’ve lifted the monkey off his back.
