Mumbai Indians batter Ryan Rickelton took his team off to a flying start with the bat in the ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (27th April).
Ryan Rickelton, who opened the innings for the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing game against the Lucknow Super Giants, is looking in solid touch. The left-hander had a good look at the conditions as he played the first over decently and then was all over Prince Yadav in the second over of the innings.
Ryan Rickelton put pressure on Prince Yadav as he slammed him for six and two boundaries, making sure he puts his team at the top. The second last boundary that he hit almost knocked off Rohit Sharma, who was at the non-striker’s end.

On the 4th ball of the over, Prince Yadav bowled a 137kmph low full toss outside off, to which Ryan Rickelton met it with the full face of the bat and smacked it over the ducking Rohit Sharma. The senior batter saved himself right at the end as the ball raced away for a boundary.
What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani after that. The franchise owner was seen laughing as Rohit Sharma almost got knocked off.
