Juveniles take center stage Oct. 15 at Woodbine when the Canadian track stages a pair of CA$125,000 stakes at seven furlongs over the track’s synthetic Tapeta surface. The Display Stakes is up first as the seventh race, open to 2-year-olds of either gender, followed by the eighth-race Glorious Song, restricted to 2-year-old fillies.
Three Kevin Attard-trained fillies—Rosa , Bolt Enoree and Tripolina —are cross-entered in both races, suggesting that one or more could scratch from the Glorious Song to run against males in the Display. Lanni Bloodstock’s Rosa, a daughter of Street Boss , is the lone stakes winner of Attard’s group, having won the Presque Isle Debutante.
One of the top males in the Display appears to be King of the Track , who, after a debut win on Tapeta, finished seventh in the Summer Stakes (G1T) on grass. Hall of Famer Mark Casse trains the son of Bold d’Oro for M Racing Group.
