Rohit Sharma’s batting struggle continued, as the Indian captain has yet again let his team and fans down in the ongoing third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia in Brisbane. This time, Australian captain Pat Cummins got the better of the Indian captain on Day 4 of the third Test in Brisbane.
Rohit Sharma played a loose shot, and he paid the price, dismissing cheaply for 10 runs off 27 balls to leave Team India in deep trouble in the ongoing third Test at The Gabba. Pat Cummins bowled a stunning delivery just outside off-stump, pitching up perfectly to tempt Rohit forward.
Fans furious after Rohit Sharma’s another cheap dismissal in the Gabba Test
The Indian captain looked unsure, his feet stuck to the crease and cautiously pushed forward. The ball found the edge of his bat and went straight into Alex Carey’s gloves. The Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey behind the stumps made no mistake, taking a clean catch.

After Rohit Sharma’s other flop show, Indian cricket team fans yet again showed their fury on social media, growing demands for the skipper’s retirement from the game. Many have been saying Rohit, who retired from T20Is earlier this year, chose the wrong format to retire.
Many fans have been slamming Rohit for his fitness, dropping catches, and struggling as India’s captain to win the matches, with some feeling it’s the downfall of his technique, so he must stay away from the team. Some Indian fans also called Rohit a lazy captain and lazy batter on social media.
Here’s how fans slam Rohit Sharma for his poor batting show:
