Rohit Sharma key for Mumbai Indians
Rohit Sharma will be playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025 and will be key for his team. He has already retired from the T20I format but is still committed to playing in the IPL for the upcoming years.
Rohit was retained by Mumbai ahead of the IPL 2025 auction for INR 16.35 crore. He has been a legendary player for MI having led them to a record five IPL titles during his captaincy tenure.
The 37-year-old hasn’t been in the best of form in the last few years of IPL. His form has been a cause of concern but he can be dangerous in the upcoming season. He is likely to back his aggressive strokeplay at the top which has been his playing style in international cricket as well.
Currently, he is the third-highest run-scorer in IPL history with 6628 runs in 257 matches at an average of 29.72 and a strike rate of 131.14. He is likely to surpass Shikhar Dhawan to become the second-highest run-getter this year.
