Rishabh Pant’s INR 25-30 crore deal with RCB leaked by Suresh Raina

Former India National Cricket Team batter Suresh Raina made a massive statement about Rishabh Pant. He said that the keeper-batter deserves 25-30 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction and added that he is a gun player and wicketkeeper.

One of the biggest names in Indian cricket, Rishabh Pant, will be going under the hammer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. The keeper-batter wasn’t retained by Delhi Capitals as the franchise opted to pick Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, and Abishek Porel.

The reports claimed that during the conversations between Delhi Capitals and Rishabh Pant, differences emerged, and hence, the keeper-batter didn’t agree to stay with the team. He also made some interesting comments on Twitter, saying that him not deciding to get retained was not for money.

With most of the franchises in need of Indian players who can captain the team, Rishabh Pant no doubt will be a key player. With the kind of impact that he has made, he no doubt will be fetching big bids in the auction.

So he should get (the money) as well – Rs 25, 30 (crore), whatever he deserves – Suresh Raina on Rishabh Pant

Suresh Raina pointed out that if Australian players are getting huge money, then Indian players should get that, too. While hailing Rishabh Pant as a gun player, he said that the keeper-batter will get 25-30 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. Speaking to the Times of India, he said:

“We should look at this as an opportunity. If you see the Australian players, they are getting paid (big money). Then why not our players? He is a (DC) captain, gun player, and gun wicketkeeper. If you look at his brand value, he is good for endorsement…So he should get (the money) as well – Rs 25, 30 (crore), whatever he deserves.”

Rishabh Pant has that attitude to win a Cup anywhere – Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina further said that Rishabh Pant has the attitude to win the cup anywhere. He also talked about Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, who also will be featured in the auction. He added:

“Rishabh has that attitude to win a Cup anywhere. He tried in Delhi, and worked very hard there. The same goes with Shreyas Lyer (not retained by KKR), same goes with KL Rahul (not retained by Lucknow Super Giants) because right now, it’s not just about buying players – they (teams) are also looking for a captain. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings, Delhi, Lucknow – four teams are such that they are looking for an Indian captain.

I won’t be surprised if he (Pant) goes to RCB – Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina further talked about how Chennai Super Kings should approach the auction. He feels that if they go for Rishabh Pant then they might not be able to get other players. He stressed that one among Punjab Kings, who has the biggest purse, along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be taking keeper-batter. He concluded:

“CSK has to make a team, and they have Rs 55 crore left with them (after spending Rs 65 crore to retain five players); and if they buy one player for Rs 25-30 crore, then they have to make a squad of 18 (at least).

“Punjab has the money (Rs 110.50 crore), Delhi has RTM (Right-to-Match card). I won’t be surprised if he (Pant) goes to RCB (Rs 83 crore purse left) because they are also looking for a captain,” he concluded.
