NEW DELHI: The Indian team is leaving no stones unturned as they gear up for the blockbuster Border-Gavaskar Trophy with gruelling practice sessions at the WACA ground in Perth.
Since beginning their training on Wednesday, the team, under watchful eyes of head coach Gautam Gambhir and support staff, has been sweating it out in the nets with focus on the batters.
However, amid the intense sessions, the players also had their share of fun as swashbuckling Rishabh Pant was seen rolling his arm over in the nets and up against him was Jasprit Bumrah, the batter.
In the session, the duo had a lot of fun as Pant challenged Bumrah that he would get him out and even tried bowling bouncers at him.
Earlier, Virat Kohli was seen batting for a considerable period of time at the nets along with other main batters.
The team, on Friday also did match simulation and played an intra-squad warm-up at the WACA.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, waiting for the birth of his second child, has not joined the squad yet, although coach Gambhir remained hopeful that he could link up with the team before the first Test. A confirmation is awaited, though.
The first Test starts from November 22 at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
