India National Cricket Team player Rishabh Pant has looked like a completely different player with the bat in the ongoing fifth Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The last game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between the teams is taking place at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
Rishabh Pant, who walked to bat at No.5, has refrained from his natural game, especially after he reportedly being at the receiving end of thrashing by head coach Gautam Gambhir for his dismissals in the last game. The keeper-batter has played defensive cricket as he seemed to be in a shell.
Rishabh Pant, during his stay at the crease, coped with a lot of body blows as well in an attempt not to take on the bowling. However, the most painful blow came during the 49th over of the innings when the India National Cricket Team player was hit on the box.
Australia National Cricket Team skipper Pat Cummins bowled a skiddy good length delivery that curved in with the angle and beat Rishabh Pant on the inside edge. The ball hit him on the box and he seemed to be in immense pain.
Rishabh Pant was in extreme pain as he knelt on the ground. The physios came out rushing and attended the India National Cricket Team keeper-batter.
