RCB jersey for IPL 2024 unveiled, franchise renamed as Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have unveiled their jersey for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The Faf du Plessis-led side revealed their kit for the 17th edition of the league during the unboxing event on Tuesday (19th March).

The unboxing event of the RCB is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and it has been an absolute feast for the fans. The spectators have turned in thousands to support their favorite and also women’s team of the franchise is also present to grace the occasion.

During the event, Royal Challengers Bengaluru also unveiled their jersey. Skipper Faf du Plessis and stars Virat Kohli and Smriti Mandhana took center stage as the new kit of the franchise was revealed. The India star greeted the crowd in Kannada.

This invited a huge roar from the fans as Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Smriti Mandhana pressed the buzzer for the curtain to be raised for the new jersey. The trio then were seen donning the new colors of the franchise on the stage.

The jersey of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the IPL 2024 is a combination of blue and red color. The upper half of the kit is blue in colour whereas the lower part of the attire is red in colour. The kit also has the logo of the team in the lower half.

Apart from revealing the jersey, Royal Challengers Bengaluru also unveiled their new name. They will now be known as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The franchise made a social media announcement related to the same and stated:

“The City we love, the Heritage we embrace, and this is the time for our ಹೊಸ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ. PRESENTING TO YOU, ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU, ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂಡ, ನಿಮ್ಮ RCB!”

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be one of the favorites to win the IPL 2024 because of the kind of lineup that they have. The team has big names in the ranks as well, who have been in red-hot form. Also, Virat Kohli being there will be an additional boost for the team.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru is yet to win the IPL Trophy but the upcoming season of the league will be a huge opportunity for them to end the title drought in the IPL. With the Women’s team winning the WPL, they would be keen to win the title and give RCB fans everything to cheer about.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be playing the tournament opener of the IPL 2024. They will be locking horns against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
