Ravindra Jadeja’s recent social media post has sparked discussions among Chennai Super Kings fans amid the team’s struggles in IPL 2025. The all-rounder shared an Instagram story featuring MS Dhoni with the caption, “Things will change,” a day after CSK’s loss to Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati.
There are concerns over the form of key players, including Ravindra Jadeja. Many fans shared the message on X, hoping for a turnaround in CSK’s fortunes. The image was from Jadeja and Dhoni’s partnership in the match, where their efforts fell short in the chase of 183 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja Criticized for His Batting in IPL 2025
Ravindra Jadeja faced criticism for his batting during the run chase against RR. He remained unbeaten on 32 off 22 balls, but his effort wasn’t enough. He and MS Dhoni came together with CSK needing 53 runs from the last 25 balls. They played out tight overs before attempting big hits in the final two overs.
With 39 required off the last two overs, both batters managed to score 19 in the penultimate over bowled by Tushar Deshpande. CSK still needed 20 in the final over, where Sandeep Sharma dismissed Dhoni for 16 off 11 balls on the first delivery, ending their hopes. Chennai ultimately fell short by six runs.
The defeat came just days after CSK suffered a crushing 50-run loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, their biggest defeat at home.
MS Dhoni Can’t Bat 10 Overs at Full Intensity – Stephen Fleming
MS Dhoni came in to bat at No. 7 during Chennai Super Kings‘ match against Rajasthan Royals. Before that, he batted even lower at No. 9 during the previous game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
After the Rajasthan Royals match, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming opened up about Dhoni’s batting position. He revealed that the veteran wicketkeeper-batter is managing knee issues. Fleming said that Dhoni can’t bat at full intensity for 10 overs straight.
“MS judges it. His body is; his knees aren’t what they used to be. And he’s moving okay, but there’s still an attrition aspect to it. He can’t bat 10 overs running full stick,” said Fleming.
Chennai Super Kings are currently in seventh position in the points table. Their next match will be against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday, April 5.
