Afghanistan National Cricket Team player Rashid Khan is giving his best with the ball in the ongoing game against South Africa National Cricket Team. The third game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is taking place at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday (21st February).
South Africa, who opted to bat first, have taken the command of the game against Afghanistan. The Proteas batters have looked solid with the bat and have made sure that they make opposition bowlers work hard in their opening ICC Champions Trophy 2025 encounter.
Rashid Khan, with his tight lines and lengths, has put pressure on the South Africa National Cricket Team
While South Africa National Cricket Team batters have been scoring runs at a great pace, Rashid Khan is making sure that he curbs the run rate. Although he hasn’t picked any wickets yet, he has been economical and has been delivering quiet overs.
Rashid Khan, with his tight lines and lengths, has put pressure on the South Africa National Cricket Team batters, but his team hasn’t let him build that. The reason behind that has been the poor fielding, with the worst of efforts coming from Noor Ahmad.
During the 5th ball of the 21st over, Rashid Khan bowled a flatter delivery on the pads to Ryan Rickelton. The batter clipped behind square on the on-side, where Noor Ahmad was stationed. It seemed that it would be a dot ball but his poor effort resulted in four.
Noor Ahmad moved to his left and was late in getting down. This allowed the ball to race away to the ropes as South Africa got extra runs. But what caught the attention of many was the reaction of Rashid Khan. The leg-spinner fumed at his teammate and gave an angry reaction.

Rashid Khan, in the first 5 overs that he bowled, gave away just 25 runs at an economy of 5. The leg-spinner, no doubt, will be crucial for the Afghanistan National Cricket Team in the death overs when batters just look to attack and score quick runs.
South Africa looks all set for a big finish, RYan Rickleton and Temba Bavuma hit brutal half-centuries
South Africa National Cricket lost Tony de Zorzi (11) early, but after that, nothing went against them. Ryan Rickelton, along with Temba Bavuma put the Afghanistan National Cricket Team under pressure with their 120-plus runs partnership.
Both the batters have slammed a terrific half-century but Temba Bavuma was back in the hut after scoring 58 runs as Mohammad Nabi took his second wicket. But with the way things are going, the South Africa National Cricket Team looks all set to a massive total of over 350 runs.
