Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) premier Andre Russell all-rounder, on the other hand, was absolutely devastated after his team lost the 31st match of the Indian Premier League 2025 on Tuesday, April 15, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

PBKS successfully defended the lowest score ever in IPL history, registering a 16-run win
Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. However, they were unable to make the most of the decision and got all out for a low score.
PBKS started off the match very well with Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh playing an attacking brand of cricket in the powerplay overs. The young Punjab Kings opening duo added 39 runs together, but the dismissal of Priyansh Arya opened the floodgates for them.
Punjab Kings suddenly went from 39/0 to 11/10 in 15.3 overs. Prabhsimran Singh was the top-scorer for his side with 30 runs under his belt, while Priyansh Arya blasted 22 runs. Other batters who touched the 10-run mark were Shashank Singh and Nehal Wadhera.
Defending the total, Punjab Kings got off to a decent start as Marco Jansen and Xavier Bartlett dismissed the openers. Then, Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi stabilized the KKR innings and took the team to 62/2.
However, the dismissal of Ajinkya Rahane triggered a collapse and Kolkata Knight Riders were bowled out for 95 in 15.1 overs.
Star all-rounder Andre Russell, who kept KKR’s hopes alive, was castled by Marco Jansen on the first ball of the 16th over and the match was finished.
After getting out, the KKR star looked absolutely devastated, and he was seen keeping his head down in disappointment. On the other hand, Punjab Kings players erupted in joy while Preity Zinta, who was in the stands, had a billion-dollar smile on her face and was seen jumping and clapping like a kid.
