Ben’s Cat – defending two time champion in this race (he finished second in this race in 2011) has an incredible 26 wins in 40 career starts including the 2012 and 2013 Parx Dash and the 2011 and 2012 Turf Monster Handicap on this track (he finished third in the 2013 Turf Monster). He had a three race win streak including the minor Jim McKay Stakes and Mister Diz Stakes – both at Pimlico and the minor Fabulous Strike Handicap at Penn National interrupted with a fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Jaipur Invitational June 7. He has four wins, a second and a third place finish in six starts on this track, has 11 wins at five furlongs and looks to start another win streak Saturday from post 9. Julian Pimentel has the mount on the morning line favorite – 5-2 odds.

Tightend Touchdown – Jason Servis pupil has placed in 12 of his last 13 starts ahead of this weekend – six wins, five seconds and a third place finish – impressive. Last time out was a win in the minor Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup at Penn National May 13 after an uncharacteristic eighth in the minor Gulfstream Park Turf Spring in February and a good second to end his 2013 campaign – the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint. Before that were seconds in the Grade 3 Turf Monster and behind Ben’s Cat in the 2013 Parx Dash – his best ever results. Tightend Touchdown has 10 wins, six seconds and a third place finish in 21 career starts and is in by far the best form of his career. Kendrick Carmouche gets the call aboard the 3-1 second choice and 11 pound highweight from post 2 Saturday.

Stromofthecentury – had two straight wins on this track last summer including an Allowance Optional Claiming in July and the Grade 3 Turf Monster Handicap over Tightend Touchdown and Ben’s Cat at 28-1 odds in September and has been up and down since. He finished 2013 with a fourth in the Grade 3 Woodford Stakes at Keeneland and has two starts in 2014 – an OK second last time out behind Tightend Touchdown in the minor Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup followed a distant seventh in the Grade 3 Twin Spires Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs May 2. He has won both career starts on this track and will be looking to get back to his summer, 2013 form Saturday with Stewart Elliot in the irons from post 3 at 7-2 odds.

Marchman – Bret Calhoun trained colt has been terrific in 2014 – two wins, a second and two third place finishes this year. Last time out was a good second in the Grade 3 Jaipur Invitational at Belmont Park June 7 after a great win in the Grade 3 Twin Spires Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs in May and a win in the Grade 3 Shakertown Stakes at Keeneland in April. He makes his Parx debut after 14 career starts yielded five wins, three seconds and three third place finishes and will have Robby Albarado aboard from the outside post at an intriguing 4-1 odds.

Bold Thunder – is coming off an OK third behind Tightend Touchdown and Stormofthecentury in the minor Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup after a second in the minor Lincoln Stakes in April and a nice win in the minor Silks Run Stakes at this distance – the latter two coming at Gulfstream. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday after 13 career starts yielded five wins, a second and three third place finishes hoping that his minor stakes success translates to the bigger stage. Jose Ferrer rides from post 5 at 10-1 odds.

Sharp Sensation – Reade Baker trained gelding enters on a two race win streak – last time out in the minor Karl Boyes Memorial at Presque Isle Downs and an Allowance Optional Claiming at Woodbine in May. He steps into graded stakes company for the first time Saturday having won four of six career starts. Frankie Pennington will be in the reins of the 12-1 sixth choice from post 7.

Quality Lass – has placed in five straight races ahead of this weekend – a win last time out in the minor Satin and Lace Stakes at Presque Isle Downs June 8 followed a pair of third including the minor The Very One Stakes at Pimlico in May and two seconds in Allowance races. He has three wins and three seconds in seven career starts on this track and enters in good form. Quality Lass is 20-1 on the morning line and will have Antonio Gallardo aboard from post 8.

This Ain’t No Bull – makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Monmouth Park and a seventh in the minor Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup at Penn National May 31. Before that he won three of his previous four starts including two on this very track – the minor Marshall Jenny Handicap in September and in an Allowance Optional Claiming last July. He has 25 career starts with nine wins, a second and a third place finish and will be looking to snap a two race losing streak Saturday. He departs from post 6 at 20-1.

Atlantic Seaboard – Ramon Preciado trained gelding makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a Claiming score on this track June 23 after an ugly tenth in the minor Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup at Penn National in May – his first ever stakes start. He has three wins, a second and a third place finish in 11 career starts but has placed in just one of his last three starts overall and leaves from gate 4 with Pablo Fragoso in the saddle at 20-1 on the morning line.

Mongolian Saturday – finished third in the Grade 3 Ohio Derby last July and went on to a second in the listed Straight Line Stakes at Arlington in August. He has been up and down since. He enters off a pair of eighth place finishes – last time out in the Grade 3 Hanshin Cup May 24 at Arlington and in the Grade 2 Potrero Grande Stakes in April. Before that was a third in the listed Caixa Electronica at Gulfstream March 2, an Allowance Optional Claiming score in February and a seventh in the Grade 3 Hawthorne Derby in October. He has placed in just two of his last five starts overall and has to hope to change his recent fortunes around. E.T.
