Pakistan crush Bangladesh to lift Blind T20 World Cup title

NEW DELHI: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the final at the Multan Cricket Stadium to clinch the T20 Blind Cricket World Cup title.
In the semifinals, Pakistan showcased their dominance by restricting Nepal to 94/7 in 20 overs and comfortably securing a spot in the final. Bangladesh, on the other hand, edged out Sri Lanka by six runs in a nail-biting contest.
In the summit clash, Bangladesh batted first, posting 139/7 in 20 overs.
Arif Hussain top-scored with 54 runs off 52 balls, while Pakistan’s Babar Ali delivered an economical spell, taking 2/24 in his four overs.
Chasing 140, Pakistan overhauled the target in just 11 overs without losing a wicket.

Captain Nisar Ali led the charge with a blazing 72*, while Muhammad Safdar supported him with an unbeaten 47, ensuring a flawless campaign for the hosts as they remained undefeated throughout the tournament.
The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Chairman, Syed Sultan Shah, congratulated the team and the nation on this remarkable achievement.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also celebrated the victory with a post on X, applauding the team’s passion and dominance. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the players, particularly Captain Nisar Ali and Muhammad Safdar, for their stellar performances in the final.
“The players demonstrated exceptional teamwork throughout the tournament,” Naqvi stated, expressing hope that the team would continue to achieve great success in the future with the same determination.
