New Zealand will tour Sri Lanka for a T20I and ODI series and the complete schedule has been announced by their Cricket Board. Both sides will lock horns in a total of 2 T20Is and 3 ODIs during the series.
New Zealand is all set to visit Sri Lanka for a white-ball series in November 2024 after the recent humiliating Test series defeat. The BlackCaps will tour Sri Lanka for a T20I and ODI series and the complete schedule has been announced by New Zealand Cricket Board.
Earlier this month, NZ faced a humiliating Test series defeat to Sri Lanka. They lost both Test matches and lost the series despite a good show in the first game. The visitors lost both games and moved down in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table.

Sri Lanka crushed New Zealand 2-0 in Test series
During the clean sweep, hosts Sri Lanka crushed the visitors by 63 runs in the 1st Test. Batting first at Galle International Stadium, Sri Lanka slammed 305-10 in 1st innings with a Kamindu Mendis (114) and Kusal Mendis (50).
Kiwis responded with a better show on the board with 340-10 and gained a 35-run lead after the 1st innings. However, the hosts bounced back in the next innings to post another 300-plus total (309-10) to set up a 275-run target for the visitors.
Rachin Ravindra (90) kept some hopes alive for victory in the final innings with his patient knock. However, he did not get any support from other batters as they failed to cross even the 30-run personal mark. Hence, NZ remained short of 63 in the end.
The 2nd Test was a much one-side encounter with Sri Lanka winning the match by a huge margin of an innings and 154 runs. With their mammoth total of 602/5, they managed to win the game like a walk in the park by crushing Kiwis 360 and 88 across two innings.

New Zealand set for revenge in November
Tim Southee led the team in the series against Sri Lanka and quit the captaincy after the debacle loss. Tom Latham is the new Test skipper of the side and will lead the series against India.
The BlackCaps will visit Sri Lanka in November but for a whiteball series. Both sides will lock horns in a total of two T20Is and three ODIs during the series. The 1st T20I takes place on November 9 while the second game will be played the very next day.
