Las Vegas, NV – Belmont Park in Elmont, New York will be the scene of Empire Classic Showcase Day this Saturday, October 19. A host of ungraded stakes action will fill the action packed card. The first of seven stakes races on the schedule is the Joseph A. Court Dancer – George Weaver trained filly is the only graded stakes experienced entry. She finished fourth in the six furlong Grade 2 Matron Stakes on this track September 29 after breaking maiden in her debut at Saratoga August 21. She is the even money favorite this Saturday and departs from post 6 with Javier Castellano in the saddle.
Miss Narcissist – Linda Rice trained filly had a win last time out in a seven furlong MSW race by 2 1/2 lengths at Saratoga August 28 after a fifth in a MSW August 8 on that same track. She is 4-1 on the morning line and will depart from post 7 with Junior Alvarado aboard.
Champagne Ruby – one of two Linda Rice trained fillies entered in the Joseph A. Gimma is coming off her best career result – a win in the restricted Shesastonecoldfox Stakes at Finger Lakes September 28 after a sixth in an Allowance and a MSW score at Presque Isle Downs. She is the only stakes winner in the field and should contend Saturday. Cornelio Velasquez rides Champagne Ruby, 5-1 on the morning line, from post position 4.

Nutmeg – John Servis trained filly is coming off a MSW score at Parx September 2 after a fourth in her debut at Saratoga August 6 – also a MSW race. John Velazquez will be in the reigns from post 3 at 6-1 odds.
Daddy’s Lil Saint – Bruce Levine trained filly has just one career start and it was a good one – a MSW score on this track September 29. Daddy’s Lil Saint has drawn the rail and is listed at 12-1 odds this Saturday.
Canal Six – has two career starts for trainer Thomas Morley – both second place finishes in MSW races at Saratoga. The wonderful Rosie Napravnik has been tabbed to ride this filly from post 2 Saturday. Canal Six is 15-1 on the morning line and will line up in post 2.
Star Grazing – debuted August 16 and finished second in a MSW a Saratoga but finished fourth last time out in a MSW on this track September 11. She is the longest shot in the field at 15-1 odds and leaves from post 5.
