Outcast India batter Shreyas Iyer and Test vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah were involved in some healthy bantering in the latest advertisement of betting platform Dream 11 which is also India’s title jersey sponsor. Bumrah and Iyer, who recently took part in the 5-match Test series against England, will be representing the Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively in the upcoming IPL 2024 edition.
While Shreyas Iyer will be captaining KKR this year after missing the entirety of the 2023 season, Jasprit Bumrah will lead the MI bowling attack from the front. The duo, in their appearance in that Dream 11 ad, can be seen bantering each other, especially Bumrah who was claiming that he will get Iyer for a duck and that he cannot escape from him in IPL.
Watch – Jasprit Bumrah claims he will get Shreyas Iyer for a duck
Iss duck se dosti karle @ShreyasIyer15 ,warna match mein toh main karwa hi dunga 😌🦆#Ad #Dream11 #TeamSeBadaKuchNahi pic.twitter.com/auRZ5zeqJZ

In the 20-second video clip, Jasprit Bumrah can be seen enjoying a glass of juice poolside while Shreyas Iyer is shown swimming in that very pool. As Iyer was enjoying his dip in front of the setting sun, a duck came in front of him out of nowhere and he was shocked to see it. In the very next frame, Bumrah appeared and said you’ll have to face me in the IPL.
Then a guy sitting next to Jasprit Bumrah asked Iyer to get used to the duck as it will be the only thing he can do when he comes in front of the right-arm pacer. The video, which is posted on Bumrah’s official X account had a caption that read, “Iss duck se dosti karle @ShreyasIyer15 ,warna match mein toh main karwa hi dunga 😌🦆”
“Shreyas, this tournament, you’ll have to face me.” – Bumrah said. “So get used to these ducks brother,” the guy next to Bumrah said.
It was yet another funny and crispy advertisement from Dream 11, who have now made it a habit to create such ads.
Meanwhile, both Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer have started their preparation for IPL 2024 in full swing as both of them will be hoping to contribute in the success of MI and KKR. Mumbai will begin their campaign with a clash against Gujarat Titans on March 24th, and KKR will kick-start their season with a clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23rd in Kolkata.
