‘Iss real life story ka koi tod nai’: Suryakumar Yadav praises Rishabh Pant with a heartfelt post | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Rishabh Pant‘s return to competitive cricket was the moment the cricket fans had been waiting for. And when Delhi Capitals skipper made his appearance in the team’s opening match of IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings, it became the biggest talking point.
Pant’s remarkable recovery from a harrowing accident in December 2022 not only earned praise from his fans but also drew commendation from his Indian teammate, Suryakumar Yadav.
“Moment we all have been waiting for. Inspirational movies bahut dekhi hain par iss real life story ka koi tod nai @RishabhPant17,” Suryakumar posted on X.

However, Pant failed to set the stage on fire as he made a quiet 13-ball 18 before falling to Harshal Patel in the 13th over of the innings.
India’s wicketkeeper-batter was ‘really emotional’ ahead of his return to the field for the first time since a horror car crash in December 2022.
“Really emotional time for me,” Pant said at the toss after Delhi were put into bat first at Mullanpur. “Just want to enjoy the moment.”
Talking about the match, English all-rounder Sam Curran’s counterattacking half-century powered Punjab Kings to a four-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in Mullanpur.
Curran blazed away to a 47-ball 63 and got excellent support from compatriot Liam Livingstone (38 not out off 21 balls), as Punjab completed a chase of 175 with four balls to spare.
