The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced the names of latest inductees into the prestigious Hall of Fame, chosen after a voting process conducted by an independent panel of 11 members, according to a PCB press release.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad and Saeed Anwar are the latest to join the elite group .
The independent panel that chose these four names included existing Hall of Famers, female international cricketers and media representatives.

“The four stalwarts will be formally inducted into the PCB Hall of Fame during the course of the year when they will be presented with commemorative caps and specially designed plaques,” the release said.
The PCB Hall of Fame includes Abdul Qadir, AH Kardar, Fazal Mahmood, Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Younis Khan and Zaheer Abbas besides the new inductees Inzamam, Misbah, Mushtaq and Anwar.
“This honour represents a tribute to their outstanding contributions to Pakistan cricket and to the global game. These four giants of the game hold a special place in Pakistan’s rich cricketing history. Their contributions not only elevated the sport within Pakistan but also inspired future generations to pursue excellence,” said PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Inzamam’s international cricket journey for Pakistan spanned from 1991 to 2007. His achievements include being part of the victorious 1992 World Cup squad, leading Pakistan’s ODI run-scoring charts, and captaining the national side. His post-playing career involved roles as Pakistan’s chief selector on two occasions and coaching the Afghanistan team.
Misbah’s international career lasted from 2001 to 2017, during which he contributed to Pakistan’s triumph in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2009. Under his leadership, Pakistan achieved the top spot in ICC Test Team Rankings in 2016. Following his playing career, he served as Pakistan’s head coach from 2019-2021 and simultaneously held the position of chief selector in 2019-2020..
Mushtaq, belonging to the quartet of Mohammed brothers who played Test cricket, had a distinguished career for Pakistan spanning from 1959 to 1979. His notable achievements include leading Pakistan to their maiden Test victory in Australia in 1977. He later served as Pakistan coach, guiding the team to the 1999 ODI World Cup final in England.
Anwar’s international career for Pakistan extended from 1989 to 2003, during which he established himself as a crucial batting pillar. His impressive record includes 31 centuries and 68 half-centuries. His World Cup performances were particularly noteworthy, with three centuries and three half-centuries across three tournaments in 1996, 1999, and 2003.
