Ramit, Anahat to feature in India’s first-ever PSA copper event
The country’s very first PSA Squash Copper event, the JSW Indian Open, is scheduled to take place at the Bombay Gymkhana in Mumbai between March 24 and 28.
The competition is set to feature top talent from Egypt, Canada, Malaysia, and Japan, alongside India’s finest players like Ramit Tandon, Anahat Singh, Velavan Senthilkumar, Veer Chotrani, and Akanksha Salunkhe.
The prize pool is worth USD 40,000.
With the sport set to be introduced into the LA 2028 Olympics, the Indian Open will be the perfect stage for the sport to reach new heights.

Vani Kapoor aims for hat-trick of wins at 6th leg of Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour
Vani Kapoor will look to complete a hat-trick of victories as she tees off at her home course, the DLF Golf and Country Club, for the sixth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour on Tuesday.
The highly successful domestic star, who won the fourth and fifth Legs of the Tour, is also chasing the Order of Merit leader, Sneha Singh, who has also won twice this season.
The sixth leg which features 40 players has some of the leading stars led by Vani and besides her there is Sneha Singh, Amandeep Drall, Jasmine Shekar, Ridhima Dilawari, Gaurika Bishnoi and Neha Tripathi.
The event carries a purse of Rs. 16 lakhs.
The DLF Golf and Country Club has been the home of Indian women’s golf and also hosts the annual Hero Women’s Indian Open in the latter half of the year.
This year Vani has been using the domestic Tour to play herself back into form and the strategy has paid off as she has won twice. She plans to get to the Ladies European Tour later on in the year.
Also looking at international starts are Sneha, Amandeep and Ridhima among others.

180 Golf launches India’s first-ever women’s golf league in Bengaluru
180 Golf, India’s first women-owned golf company presented the inaugural edition of the Women’s Golf League – India’s first-ever premier golf league exclusively for women.
The Women’s Golf League is structured as a series of tournaments featuring team play formats that will take place over three match days—March 13, 20, and 27, 2025, to be held in Bangalore Golf Club.

The overwhelming response to the first edition has resulted in 90 registrations, which have been divided across six teams; Team East West Elites, Team Gopalan Giants, Team Ramaiah Royals, Team Morado Mahilas, Team Raj Infra Green Legends, Team Sudarshan Strikers
Golfers from across India, including Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mysore and Madikeri along with a few Korean nationals, will be participating, highlighting the league’s growing appeal and international presence.

Sneha Singh clinched the top spot in women’s stroke play section of the Queens of Golf celebrity pro-am event at the Classic Golf and Country Club in Gurugram on Women’s Day.
Sneha shot 70 on the par-72 course to pip Anahita Singh by one shot, while Amandeep Drall and Lavanya Jadon placed joint third with 72.
What was more interesting was the pro-am event in which 20 of the country’s best women golfers partnered corporate executives, sports personalities etc., in a vibrant environment of camaraderie and skill-sharing.
Eminent personalities like the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, Dr. Pawan Munjal of Hero MotoCorp, Rajeev Chaba, CEO of MG Motors, Jagrut Kotecha, CEO of PepsiCo India, and former Indian Test cricketer Murali Kartik made the event a success.
The team of Champika Sayal and Khushi Khanijau won the pro-am event with a score of 138, beating Shekar Khosla and Neha Tripathi by two shots. Kshama Kaushik and Lavanya Jadon placed third.
The amateurs had different grades of handicap advantage that made it a lively affair, with the onus on the professional women golfers to be at their competitive best to make the combined score count.
One of the leading golfers, Vani Kapoor was presented the “All Star” award by Queen’s of Golf for her accomplishments.
“This event is a powerful step towards increasing the visibility for women’s golf in India and creating greater opportunities for aspiring athletes,” said the secretary general of Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI), Champika Sayal.
“Seeing professional golfers, corporate leaders and sports icons come together on this platform is truly inspiring,” said Navita Mansingh, the co-founder of Queens of Golf.
Queens of Golf is an initiative that actively works to empower and support women golfers across the country, committed to reshaping the sport’s future and perception.

Nitin Gupta of Uttar Pradesh bettered his own 5000m race walk under-18 National record on his way to gold in the 20th National youth athletics championships which began at the Patliputra Sports Complex on Monday.
Karnataka’s P. Chiranth and Haryana’s Aarti won the boys and girls 100m and emerged as the fastest athletes of the championship while Jharkhand’s Saket Minj and Tamil Nadu’s Edwina Jason were the fastest quartermilers.
