Mohammad Amaan, a middle-order batter from Uttar Pradesh, will captain the India Under-19 team in the upcoming ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. The 50-over tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this month.
The Indian team boasts a talented roster of young players who have made a mark on the domestic circuit. This includes Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre, Bihar’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Tamil Nadu’s C Andre Siddarth, Kerala leg-spinner Mohammed Enaan, and Karnataka batters Hardik Raj and Samarth Nagaraj.
India has been drawn into Group A, alongside Pakistan, Japan, and the host nation, UAE. Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
India will play a warm-up match against Bangladesh in Sharjah on November 26, ahead of the tournament.
The semifinals are set for December 6, with the final scheduled for December 8.
