IND vs BAN: Watch – Rishabh Pant smashes his special one-handed six on India comeback

Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is back in the Indian colors after over a year and is making sure that he makes an immediate impact. The warmup game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 between India and Bangladesh is underway at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York.

Rishabh Pant in the ongoing warmup game against Bangladesh walked out to bat at No.3 after India opted to bat first. The keeper-batter came to bat after Sanju Samson (1), who opened the innings, perished in the 2nd over of the game to Shoriful Islam.

Rishabh Pant took some time to get going as he knocked fee deliveries first. But once he got his eye in, the keeper-batter made sure that he oozed his class with the bat and gave fans glimpses of his old self as he played quite a few unorthodox shots.

Rishabh Pant freed himself during the 6th over as he went berserk and took Shakib Al Hasan to the cleaners. The batter slammed the Bangladesh all-rounder for three sixes in an over and after that didn’t look back as he slammed bowlers all over the park.

Rishabh Pant came up with his trademark one-handed six as well. The keeper-batter on the 3rd ball of the 9th over brought out his special shot. The bowler bowled a full ball to which the batter came up with a one-handed swipe and sent it soaring into the stands at long-on.

Here’s the video:

Rishabh Pant looked in fine touch with the bat in the ongoing game. With the way he played, he would now be high on confidence, going into the main tournament, which will begin on 2nd June and India will open their campaign against Ireland on 5th June.

With Sanju Samson not getting enough runs under his belt in the ongoing warmup game against Bangladesh at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York, it looks like Rishabh Pant will be getting the preference in the playing 11 for the main tournament.

Rishabh Pant played a vital innings for his team in the ongoing warmup game against Bangladesh. The keeper-batter slammed a magnificent half-century on his India return and took his team to a decent total on the board after a shaky start.

Rishabh Pant brought up his half-century in style. He slammed Shakib Hasan for a four and reached the milestone. However, after slamming the half-century, he walked out of the park, allowing other batters to bat in the middle and get used to the conditions.

Rishabh Pant ended with an innings of 53 runs off 32 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 165 and also slammed 4 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His form will be a huge positive for the team going into the main tournament as India looks to lift their second title.
