The Australia team touched down in Delhi before moving to Mohali as Warner found time to click a selfie with a security personnel, revealing that the Aussie squad felt ‘well protected’.

“Always great to be welcomed back to india. We are always well looked after and well protected. Thanks so much. @gmraerocity always makes our transits so easy. #india #love,” wrote Warner in the caption of the photograph he clicked on the airport.

Warner had recently smashed a century against South Africa as the Australian team lost the five-match ODI to the Proteas 3-2. Australia had won the first two matches but the hosts rallied down from 0-2 to win the series, handing Mitchell Marsh a first-ever series defeat as Australia’s captain.

The trio will return for the third ODI, while KL Rahul will be leading the side. Ravichandran Ashwin makes his comeback in the Indian team having last played an ODI back in January 2022, while Axar Patel is set to miss the first ODIs with an injury he sustained during the Asia Cup final.
