“If you want an entry in Guinness World Records…”

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar took a dig at former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, adding that he should be included in the Guinness Book of Records. Akhtar stated that the former opener constantly brings up his triple century against Pakistan in the Multan Test, even after two decades.

Virender Sehwag scored 309 runs off 375 balls, including 39 fours and 6 sixes, during the first Test of India’s tour of Pakistan in 2004. Sehwag helped India post a massive total of 675/5 before declaring. Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami, Abdul Razzaq, and Saqlain Mushtaq were part of the Pakistan bowling attack.

Kisi Stylish Bande Ko Lena Next Ad Mein – Shoaib Akhtar’s Dig at Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag appeared in an advertisement for “fwd by Myntra” alongside Mandira Bedi and Sahiba Bali. The former cricketer recalled his triple century in a social media post. Sehwag captioned the post, “Ek triple centurion ke handle se @fwd ka ad post ho raha hai.”

However, Akhtar took a playful dig at him, responding on Instagram with, “@fwd vaalo kisi stylish bande ko lena next ad mein (mere DM open hain). Hahaha.”‘

I’m Fed Up of Hearing Him Talk – Shoaib Akhtar

Akhtar said that he is “fed up” with hearing Virender Sehwag repeatedly mention his triple century. Akhtar stated that Sehwag has been talking about his 300-run knock for 20 years. He added that Sehwag should enter the Guinness World Record for mentioning “300” the most times.

“I saw a video of Viru Paaji. Man, I’m fed up of hearing him talk. It’s the same tape playing for the last 20 years- 300, 300, 300′. Come on, brother, I was there too when you scored that 300. You played really well, no doubt. But it’s the month of fasting, and one has to control their tongue-so please, stop now. If you want an entry in the Guinness World Records, I can get that done: ‘The person who says 300 the most in the world-Virender Sehwag!’,” Akhtar said in the video.

“If you really want an entry, talk to me. Because I have a real record-you know which one, right?,” he concluded the video.

Shoaib Akhtar’s International and IPL Career as a Player

Shoaib Akhtar played 46 Test matches for Pakistan, taking 178 wickets at an average of 25.69, including 12 five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket match hauls. He played 163 ODI matches and took 247 wickets at an average of 24.97, with four five-wicket hauls.

The fast bowler had intense battles against Indian batters like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virender Sehwag. Akhtar also had a brief stint in the IPL.

He represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2008 season, picking up five wickets in three matches. However, after the Mumbai terror attacks later that year, the BCCI banned Pakistani players from the IPL.
